This route, rated as difficult, offers a perfect opportunity to test your limits over a distance of 17 km with 953 m of elevation gain. Starting from Sainte-Croix, you will complete a loop passing through the Col des Étroits, Mont de la Maya and Chasseron, the highest point in the region at over 1600 metres altitude. Just before Chasseron, you will discover the site of Roches Éboulées, marked by enormous blocks of stone in the heart of the pastures. You may even be lucky enough to spot marmots there if they are not too shy. From the summit, the return is a gentle descent to Sainte-Croix, accompanied by panoramic views of the Alps as a backdrop.
Along the way, you can take a break in an alpine chalet to regain your strength.
